Supported Living Accommodation Services
Our service users may live in their own home whilst receiving the right support and reablement, something we refer to as Supported Living. Our service users are tenants and they enjoy the same rights as private tenants. The kind of support we offer here depends entirely on the needs of the individual, varying from several hours a week to 24 hour a day care. Supported Living service users typically enjoy greater independence than care home users as many have their own keys, are able to cook and buy food on their own, as well as pay bills and choose who visits them.
We encourage our service users to be as a self-sufficient as possible, and even help them to find work if they wish to do so, all the while assisting them along their journey towards independence. When placed in our services, service users are encouraged to bring with them personal effects in order to individualise their own rooms and make their stay with us as personable as possible.
